Two proven methods for international car transport. We'll recommend the right option based on your vehicle type, route, and budget.
Roll-On / Roll-Off — Most popular for standard vehicles
Your vehicle is driven directly onto a purpose-built car carrier vessel and professionally secured on deck. No crating needed — the most economical method for running, standard-height vehicles on high-frequency routes.
Advantages
Enclosed 20ft or 40ft container — Maximum protection
Your vehicle is loaded into a sealed steel shipping container, fully protected from weather, sea spray, and port operations. Ship your car alone or consolidate with household goods in the same container.

International car shipping involves layers of documentation, country-specific regulations, and import duty calculations. Our dedicated customs team manages the entire process so your vehicle clears without delays — at both origin and destination.
We prepare and file all export paperwork — vehicle title verification, Bill of Lading, Packing List, and NOC where required. All forms are submitted to port authorities before sailing.
Our in-country agents file the import declaration, calculate and advise on applicable duties and taxes, and secure clearance from the destination customs authority before delivery.
Import duty rates vary significantly by country, vehicle age, engine size, and declared value. We provide a duty estimate before you book so there are no surprises at the destination port.
Different countries have different emissions standards, safety requirements, and import restrictions. We advise you upfront whether your vehicle meets destination country requirements.

Every vehicle we ship is covered by comprehensive marine transit insurance. We work with leading underwriters to ensure your car is protected against all major risks.
Institute Cargo Clauses (A) — the most comprehensive marine cover available. Protects against all physical loss or damage during transit including loading, shipping, and unloading.
Insurance is calculated on the declared CIF (Cost + Insurance + Freight) value of your vehicle. We recommend insuring for the full market replacement value for complete peace of mind.
Before your vehicle is loaded, our agent photographs and documents its full condition. This report protects you — any damage occurring during transit is clearly attributable and claimable.
Thousands of vehicles shipped. Thousands of happy customers. Here are a few of their stories.
Everything you need to know about shipping your car internationally.
The core documents required for most international car shipments are:
Our team will confirm the exact document list for your specific origin and destination once you book.
Transit times depend on the route and shipping method. Indicative sea freight times from India are:
These times cover ocean freight only. Allow additional time for collection, export customs, port processing at origin, and import clearance and delivery at destination.
Yes. Every vehicle we ship is covered by comprehensive all-risk marine transit insurance under Institute Cargo Clauses (A) — the most extensive marine cover available. Coverage protects your vehicle from door to destination against total loss, physical damage, fire, and theft during port handling.
Insurance is calculated on your vehicle's declared CIF (Cost + Insurance + Freight) value. We recommend insuring at current market replacement value. A certificate of insurance is issued to you before sailing.
Yes — non-running, lowered, modified, and classic vehicles can be shipped via container. Container shipping eliminates the requirement for the vehicle to be drivable since it is loaded using a forklift or crane rather than driven onto the vessel.
For RoRo shipping, the vehicle must be in running condition and able to meet the vessel's ground clearance minimum (typically 120mm). If your vehicle does not meet this, container is the recommended option. Let us know your vehicle's details when requesting a quote and we will advise accordingly.
Import duty is calculated differently in each country. Common factors include:
We provide a personalised duty estimate for your specific vehicle and route before you confirm your booking. Our in-country customs agents ensure all declarations are accurate to avoid delays or penalties at the destination port.
For RoRo shipments, vehicles must be completely empty — no personal items, loose objects, or aftermarket accessories not permanently fitted. This is a requirement of the shipping line and failure to comply can result in the vehicle being refused for loading.
For container shipments, some destinations permit a limited quantity of personal effects inside the vehicle. However, these items may be subject to separate customs duties and must be declared. We advise on a route-by-route basis — ask our team when booking.
Once your vehicle is loaded, you will receive your Bill of Lading number which can be used to track the vessel in real time via the shipping line's online portal. Our team provides proactive status updates at each key milestone:
In the unlikely event of damage, the pre-shipment condition report and photographs serve as your baseline evidence for a claim. Upon delivery, inspect your vehicle immediately and note any new damage on the delivery receipt before signing.
Notify us within 72 hours of delivery. We will guide you through the claims process with our marine insurer, which typically settles within 14 working days for straightforward claims. Our average damage claim rate is under 0.3% of all vehicles shipped.
